When to choose a wall mount monitor arm
Wall mounting can work well where the desk is fixed in one location, the wall is suitable for secure installation and keeping the desk completely clear is important. It is also useful when the desk edge is unsuitable for a clamp.
When a desk mount is the better fit
A desk-mounted arm is often easier for offices where desks may move, layouts change, or installation into the wall is not desirable. It can also offer straightforward clamp or grommet mounting.
Check the mounting structure first
Do not choose a wall arm only by appearance. The wall construction and fixing method must be appropriate for the combined load of the monitor and arm. Likewise, a desk clamp should be used only on a desk surface that can safely carry the load.
