“RFID” does not guarantee that every campus ID will work. Confirm the card frequency and technology, reader compatibility, security/application keys, data available to the locker and university identity-system policy. Test real production cards before approving the final reader configuration.

What is the difference between PIN and RFID access for student lockers?

RFID can provide quick tap access using a compatible campus card. PIN access avoids a physical credential and can suit guests, but code security and reset procedures matter. They may be alternatives or configured together.

Can students use their existing university ID cards?

Possibly. The exact credential, reader and security configuration must be checked, followed by testing with real cards before rollout.

Can administrators reset codes remotely?

Can the same locker handle library book pickup and returns?
