Physical kiosk and display

The visible product is typically a portrait-format interactive display mounted in a floor-standing, wall-mounted or countertop enclosure. For a fabricated floor kiosk, practical engineering normally favors straight folded-metal panels, modest corner radii, a stable steel base, service access and ventilation. Screen size, brightness, touch technology and orientation should be selected for viewing distance and environment rather than appearance alone.

Camera, microphones and speakers

Audio quality directly influences speech recognition. Microphone type, pickup direction and physical placement should be planned for the site noise level. Speakers must be clear enough for conversation without creating excessive spill. A camera can support video interaction, presence sensing or approved computer-vision functions when required, but those features are project-specific rather than automatic.

Compute and rendering

The kiosk needs sufficient compute for its interface, media playback, device management and any local avatar/rendering functions. Some solutions rely mainly on cloud AI services; others use a local PC or edge computer for application logic, caching or rendering. GPU requirements depend on the digital-human technology chosen.

Network and serviceability

Reliable connectivity is essential when speech, language models, knowledge retrieval or business-system integrations are cloud based. Enterprise projects may use wired Ethernet, secured Wi-Fi or managed cellular connectivity. The enclosure should allow authorized access to compute, power, cooling, network and peripheral modules.

Optional peripherals

Depending on the use case, the kiosk can be engineered with QR/barcode scanning, RFID/NFC, document scanning, receipt printing, badge printing, payment hardware or other peripherals. These components should be added because the workflow requires them.

A modular architecture

Separating the display, compute, AI services, business integration and peripherals makes the platform easier to configure across industries. A hotel concierge and hospital reception kiosk may share the same basic chassis while using different knowledge, integrations, policies and interface modules.
