Charging Cart Installation & Operating Guide
A charging cart works best when the site, electrical supply, device layout and daily operating procedure are planned before the cart is fully loaded.
This is a general deployment checklist. The specific RIFE model, device chargers and building electrical system should always be checked against their own instructions and ratings.
1. Prepare the location
Place the cart on a stable indoor surface with usable airflow, clear door access and a practical movement path if the cart will travel between rooms.
- Choose a stable indoor location with adequate surrounding airflow.
- Keep access to doors, vents, locks and service areas unobstructed.
- Confirm the route is suitable if the cart will move between rooms.
2. Confirm the electrical supply
The site circuit, cart power distribution and connected charger load should be reviewed together before regular operation.
Review the connected charger wattage, number of simultaneously charging devices, PDU arrangement and the site circuit before regular use. Do not assume that adding the individual charger ratings is the only design consideration; protection, wiring and usage pattern also matter.
3. Route chargers and cables
Arrange chargers and leads so users can connect devices without pulling on mains wiring, pinching cables or blocking ventilation.

Avoid sharp bends, pinched cables and loose wiring that can be caught by doors or moving parts.
4. Load the devices
Devices should fit the intended slots without pressure on screens, hinges, connectors or dividers.
Check slot dimensions and device thickness before filling the cart. Devices should sit securely without forcing screens, hinges, ports or charging plugs against dividers.
5. Start charging in a controlled way
Use the model-specific charging arrangement and any timer, sequencer or managed-charging functions intended for the actual fleet.
Follow the model-specific power arrangement. Where timer, sequencer or managed charging functions are provided, configure them for the actual device fleet rather than bypassing them.
6. Daily operating checks
Routine visual checks should catch damaged plugs, obstructed airflow, unusual heat, loose cables or lock and door problems early.
- Inspect plugs and visible cables for damage.
- Keep ventilation paths clear.
- Confirm doors and locks operate freely.
- Avoid storing unrelated items around chargers and power components.
- Investigate repeated trips, unusual heat, odor or damaged connectors before continuing use.
7. Periodic review
Reassess the setup whenever the device fleet or charger wattage changes, because the original configuration may no longer be appropriate.
