VESA, Monitor Weight & Compatibility Guide

VESA, Monitor Weight & Compatibility Guide
The monitor's mounting pattern and actual weight matter more than screen-size marketing alone.

What Is VESA?
VESA refers to the standardized mounting-hole pattern on the rear of many monitors. The monitor and mount need compatible patterns; do not assume every display is mountable.

Check Actual Monitor Weight
Verify the monitor's actual supported mounting weight against the selected product specification. Screen diagonal alone does not establish compatibility.

Screen Size and Physical Clearance
Large screens may physically interfere with one another on multi-monitor arms even when individual weight and VESA compatibility are acceptable. Layout should be checked as a system.

Desk & Clamp Compatibility
For clamp or grommet installation, verify work-surface thickness, edge geometry and structural suitability before ordering.

Send the Exact Monitor Model
For project requirements, providing the monitor brand and exact model allows RIFE to review VESA, weight and screen dimensions before recommending the stand family.
Before You Order
| Check | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Screen count | How many applications genuinely need to remain visible? |
| Monitor model | Exact brand/model, VESA pattern, weight and physical dimensions. |
| Desk | Width, depth, thickness, edge access and grommet availability. |
| Mounting | Freestanding, clamp, grommet or wall depending on furniture and room. |
| Adjustment | Whether users need frequent movement or a stable standardized position. |
| Project quantity | For bulk deployments, pilot the actual monitor + desk + mount combination. |
Choose the Right Monitor Stand Before Ordering
Share the exact monitor model, number of screens, desk dimensions, preferred mounting method and quantity. RIFE can help confirm a suitable live model.
